About Acme Growth Studio
Acme Growth Studio was founded in late 2022 by Margaret Wynne, after a decade of running marketing inside three early-stage B2B SaaS companies (two acquired, one still operating). It started as a freelance practice helping founder friends with positioning and SEO. It became a small consultancy because the same questions kept appearing across companies — and the same patterns kept working.
We are deliberately small. There are six of us. We work with about eight clients at a time. We do not have a sales team, and we do not buy ads. About 90% of our clients come through referrals from other founders we’ve worked with. The other 10% read something we wrote and reached out.
Our operating principles
1. The ICP is sacred.
Every engagement starts with two weeks spent re-validating who you actually sell to. Most founders we meet have an ICP description that hasn’t been updated since the seed round, and it shows in every other artifact — landing pages, ads, sales decks. We will not write a single piece of content until the ICP is precise enough to make a hire from it.
2. We measure outcomes, not outputs.
You’re not paying us to ship blog posts. You’re paying us to grow pipeline. Every 90-day sprint is anchored to a single business outcome — usually qualified pipeline contribution, occasionally NPS or activation depending on stage — and reported on weekly.
3. Founder leverage, not founder substitution.
The best B2B SaaS marketing voice is the founder’s voice. We don’t try to replace it; we amplify it. We do the strategy, infrastructure, and editorial work that lets the founder ship a substantive long-form essay every fortnight in 90 minutes of focused time, rather than 12 hours of fragmented effort.
4. We say no often.
About 60% of intro calls end with us recommending the prospect not hire us — usually because what they actually need is a CMO hire, a full SDR team, a paid acquisition agency, or simply more product-market fit. We’re a specific tool. We’re not a fit for most situations.
The team

Margaret Wynne · Founder & Principal
Margaret spent ten years inside three early-stage B2B SaaS companies (one in dev tools, one in HR-tech, one in fintech infrastructure) running marketing through Series A and B. She writes our quarterly research reports and leads strategy on every engagement.

Daniel Hartwell · Head of SEO
Daniel runs technical SEO and AI search optimization. Previously SEO lead at a marketplace SaaS that scaled from $2M to $35M ARR. Particular focus on JTBD-rooted content strategy and AI citation patterns.

Liu Chen · Content Strategist
Liu leads our content engagements. She built the demand-gen content function at a B2B SaaS that exited to a public company. She is the one who keeps our writing honest — she has a particular allergy to filler sentences.

Marcus Ellington · GTM Strategy Director
Marcus runs our GTM strategy work — positioning, category narrative, and ICP development. Background in B2B SaaS strategy consulting; deep operator experience scaling a Series B HR-tech company through PMF inflection.

Isabela Vargas · Growth Marketing Specialist
Isabela handles the operational layer — analytics, attribution, conversion optimization, and tooling decisions. She’s the one who connects the strategy work to the metrics that actually move on the dashboard.

Anish Rao · Technical SEO Specialist
Anish leads the technical work — site architecture, schema markup, AI search optimization. He’s responsible for getting our clients’ content into the citation set of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity.
Where we are
The studio is registered in Massachusetts. Margaret works from a converted barn in the Berkshires. The rest of the team is remote: Brooklyn, Austin, Toronto, Buenos Aires, Bangalore, and a cabin in Vermont. We meet in person twice a year for working off-sites.
